WHITE HOUSE SECRETS investigates the medical secrets of presidents from the 19th to 21st century, revealing how the deceptions and their consequences affected the nation. Some of the cover-ups were elaborately planned. A few remained buried for decades.
WHITE HOUSE SECRETS explores the biographies and presidencies of nine men, putting them into historical context. Each suffered a medical issue that diminished his performance as president. Four died in office. The presidents highlighted are:
James Garfield
Chester Arthur
Grover Cleveland
Woodrow Wilson
Warren Harding
Franklin Roosevelt
John Kennedy
Ronald Reagan
Joseph Biden
As a STEM resource, WHITE HOUSE SECRETS shows the progress of medical care from the mid-1800s to the present. It explores the diseases that plagued the United States during that period including pneumonia, intestinal diseases, malaria, polio, heart disease, and cancer.
